Lemon has many health benefits and qualities.

 

If you drink a glass of sherbet in the heat of summer, it will quench your thirst and refresh your mind. Commonly different types of sherbet can be noticed around us. We like to have sharbat with very simple recipes at low cost. And lemon water is one of the easily available nutritious drinks. Not only in summer but also in the month of Ramadan we eat lemon water.




Lemon has many health benefits and qualities. Let's know it in detail.
Lemon is a sour fruit that is available throughout the year in our country. We eat lemon in many ways like: syrup, just juice, pickle, with rice, with salad, lemon tea etc. Many people also eat lemon peel bharta and tea. Even lemon leaves have many benefits.
 Before knowing the benefits, let's know the nutritional value of lemon.
Nutritional value of lemon per 100 grams:
Lemons also contain antioxidants called bio-flavonoids. Lemon has so many benefits due to its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
How many types of lemons are available?
In addition to our country, there are lemons in other countries, in which case, different varieties of lemons are available all over the world. There are about 30 types of it. But only few varieties of lemon are available in Bangladesh. For example –
Paper or lemon leaves
This lemon is small in size, this lemon can be seen more in the trees around our homestead.
Sweet or syrupy lemon
This lemon looks a bit big in size. Usually this lemon is used more for making lemon syrup because it has more juice.
Lemon
They are also called grapefruits. There are also Malta lemons and oranges. Though Kamala and Malta are different types of lemons, we know them as Malta and Kamala.

Fresh lemon leaf tea helps reduce migraine pain, and lemon leaf tea is beneficial for those with asthma. Boiling lemon leaves and taking a bath with warm water reduces body weakness and reduces body pain.

Lemon peel contains more vitamins than lemon juice. It contains an ingredient called pectin. So eating peels regularly accelerates the process of losing weight. Because this ingredient helps in shedding the extra fat present in the body.
Eating rules:
Lemon can be pickled and eaten with peel and also used as peel tea, peel filling. For the skin, ice cubes of the peel can be applied to the skin.

Benefits of Lemon:-
1 For heart health:
A medium-sized lemon has about 44 milligrams of vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts our immune system. Foods rich in vitamin C are very beneficial for the heart. Eating foods rich in vitamin C regularly can get rid of heart attack or any major heart problem. It also fights against stroke and protects cells from damaging cells by acting as free radicals in the body.
2 Keeps weight under control:
The fiber present in lemon helps us to keep our weight under control. Those who have more fat in their body need to drink more water, so drinking lemon water will meet the water requirement and also lose weight.
3 Lowers cholesterol levels:
It can be said that the amount of fat in lemon is not much. Lemon helps in lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) and increasing good cholesterol (HDL) in our body.
4 Relieves digestive problems:

Disadvantages of lemon
• Consuming too much lemon causes gastric problems. Nausea and vomiting may also occur.
• Consuming excess lemons should be avoided if acidity is a problem.
• Consuming too much lemon juice can make the body weak.
• Consuming lemon juice continuously for weight loss can lead to nutrient deficiency in the body.
• Lemon juice is highly acidic. So never apply lemon juice directly on the face. It can burn your skin.
• Prolonged consumption of lemons can damage the soft tissues in the mouth due to the citric acid in lemons.
How does lemon water work to reduce weight?
Whole lemons contain fiber that keeps the stomach full for a long time thus keeping weight under control. Also, consumption of lemon water increases the amount of urine, as a result of which pollutants are removed from the body and fat is burned. Here are the ways to lose weight with lemon:

Honey and warm water syrup is more beneficial than lemon consumption in general for weight loss. Those who want to lose weight can add honey and warm lemon water to their diet along with other diets.
Lemon and honey syrup preparation method:
