How to Test Salt for Iodine Content at Home

To use an iodine testing kit, simply dissolve a small amount of salt in water and add a few drops of the iodine solution provided in the kit. It is important to note that both of these methods provide a qualitative indication of iodine content rather than a quantitative measurement. This means that they can indicate whether iodine is present in the salt but cannot provide an accurate measure of the amount of iodine present.
